I’m Joost, a Dutch Senior Art Director and Creative Director with a deep design background and a passion for blending creativity with innovation, zeitgeist, and a dose of sustainability.

My first job, starting at age 12, was as a professional mushroom picker. You might think I developed an interest in advertising by reading the peculiar personal ads on the newspaper sheets lining the crates we filled with shrooms. But, honestly, that had nothing to do with it.

I like his way of working; not stopping with the first idea, but show 20 ideas in a first review.   • Joost joined us as a freelance Design Lead in the summer of 2020. The word freelance doesn't do him justice though. Joost soon proved to be a remarkable asset to our team. Supporting our growing agency not only on the Design Lead side of things, but also on levels such as organization design and employer branding. Personally I can say I've learned a lot from Joost. And I know the whole organization shares this feeling. Never during his time at our agency I got the feeling that Joost was in it for the short term. He seemed to enjoy blending in with our core team; advising upper management in the process. A set of skills, or virtues not many freelancers possess, in my experience.   • I was Joost's creative freelance partner during various spells between 2018 and 2020. He's got a great sense of what makes a great idea....uhm...great! He notices quickly when things get too complicated and has a good idea for detail. Whether it's designing, concepting, or presenting: Joost has got you covered.
